Digital Creatives Hijack ECDs Domains To Get Job

A pair of enterprising digital creatives on the look out for a new job struck on a novel way to get the attention of some of the countries most senior creative minds by holding their domain names hostage.
Art director Andrew Grinter and copywriter Lee Spencer spent around $50 to buy the domain names of key ad agency executive creative directors in Melbourne, including Clemenger BBDO’s Ant Keogh, DDB’s Grant Rutherford and CumminsRoss’ Sean Cummins.
The duo have since found full time positions with DTDigital, ironically one of the agencies they did not target with the domain name hijacking. Yesterday they released a film of the prank on YouTube:
